Hey everyone! It's been thirteen years since the alternative-rock band Circo has released anything. However, the wait is over! "Adiós Hola" is finally here!

On December 2019, Fofé, Egui, David and Orlando returned to the recording studio to work on what would be their first album in thirteen years as CIRCO. The new album was recorded in its entirety in Puerto Rico. What we know today as the Verano Intenso (Intense Summer) of 2019 in Puerto Rico served as the backdrop for the band's reunion. It was during this time that the band reunited for a celebratory concert that ignited the creative spark which kicked off the pre-production phase for "Adiós Hola." The album's title signifies the goodbye to the band's 13-year hiatus and hello to the new chapter that starts with "Adiós Hola."

It must be noted that Circo wrote this album in the middle of the earthquakes in Puerto Rico and the Global Pandemic (which is still ongoing). Fofé, the frontman, describes the album as, "a mystic journey inspired by drastic changes, unexpected separations, inevitable moves and the nostalgia inspired by missing our loved ones who are no longer there. It is an astral journey to meet with long distance loves, and the story of migrating to start from nothing."

"Adiós Hola" is definitely filled with magical realism that includes hints of nostalgia. It definitely highlights each band members capacity and talent. What makes this album so wonderful it that it really shows why this band is so beloved and why this album was so anticipated for Circo fans and music junkies.

La Tormenta opens up with some soft synth and then some sweet vocals that are almost a nod to bachata. It's a sweet start. Then Si Tu Te Vas starts with some loud drums, but quickly return to sweet melancholic vocals. Libre is definitely an upbeat song that reminds me of the early 2000s, it's a timeless piece. Finally, Illuminar is a romantic and delicate way to end such a good album. These are just thoughts on a few of the songs.

Check it out!
