I remember when I started following Emily on Instagram after the Dave Castro reposted her doodles during last year's Crossfit open. I fell in love with them. They were accurately funny and so cute! When I clicked on her profile I was like "Woah! Damn, those abs are goals. She was all goals regardless!!" I was not worthy, but I had to get my hands on one of her doodles shirts. (Yes, I do Crossfit even if I do not look the part). I Dm'd her and that was history. From then on out I had to buy all of her products and it has been that way for the past year. We became friends and I always look forward to any new designs she has! I can't wait until I see one of them famous Game's athlete's wearing her shirts!!
How did you begin with these designs?
Emily: "It started as a joke and I began in 2016. Some of the girls at my gym wore it to the Crossfit Games and some of my soldier friends have worn them as well. Some people started suggesting what I should and shouldn't do and that was not fun. I am not business minded."
But...... you can get the shirts at be-bula.myshopify.com"
How many designs do you have right now?
Emily: "About 6. My friend, who handles the website, chose buff people to model them. Ha-ha."
Have you ever thought of straying away from the "fat dude" doodle?
Emily:"It's just a doodle. I don't know if I would stray. Crossfitters buy everything and I am critical of my own art. Anything Crossfit related sells."
I want to thank my friend Emily for her time! Go support her and her work! She is a badass!
